Hi Jemi:
This is very impressive. I noticed you did it through Word Press: was it expensive or difficult to do it through this program? I ask because I’ve been trying to put a website together for a non profit in Uganda, and I wanted to do it through word press but it seemed costly and I got the impression that I’d have to learn quite a bit to use it. I’d love to know what your experience with it was like.
On another note: How specifically did you want to marry the International Development and Journalism fields? I’d love to chat with you more about that. When I was in the US, I worked with a center at Harvard University called the Berkman Center for Internet and Society. A few of their projects may interest you in terms of your career goals. Check out their website at http://www.cyber.harvard.edu. The people are great and its an amazing environment where you can get a lot of great experience and make a lot of important connections career wise.
Blessings lovie,
Gina
